  • This class brings families together to experience dance and explore the fundamentals of expressive movement.  Informed by developmental movement and organized around exploring a new dance concept each week, children aged 2 & 3 years old and their accompanying grown-ups will learn through play and connection. Participants will develop body awareness, coordination, and motor skills through creative movement activities with props, rhymes, and music. At the same, children and adults will both be learning about foundational dance concepts such as shape, space, time, and energy.

  • (Ages 4-5)

Experience the joy of movement and an introduction to the dance studio environment in our Dance Adventures class! This class is rooted in building foundational movement, creativity , and social skills in a fun, imaginative environment. Through creative exercises and play-based activities, students will work on coordination, rhythm, and basic dance concepts, while also exploring storytelling, sharing, and expression through movement.

  • Our Ballet classes are for all bodies and experience levels. Ballet is a classical dance technique that developed in 15th century Europe and has evolved through the centuries into a popular training and performance form. Our classes remain rooted in classical techniques while also incorporating contemporary expressions of the dance form. Classes are structured to accommodate and adapt to different skill levels, from beginner to advanced dancers, ensuring everyone can progress at their own pace in a supportive learning environment.

  • Are you new to dance and just want to get moving? Are you an experienced dancer who can’t get enough? Dance Mix is the perfect class for everyone! Each week brings a different dance style to the fore – led by a special cast of rotating instructors. Dancers will get to experience classes in various techniques: jazz, modern, social dance, ballroom dance, folk dances, contemporary, ballet, fitness, flexibility, tik-tok moves, creating choreography, somatic dance, and more. Dance Mix is designed to build a passion for dance, and it’s a great way to explore different genres, improve versatility, and keep your dance practice exciting through the year.

  • Make some noise in our Tap class! Tap dance is all about making music with your feet and performing with your whole body. Students learn tap steps through exercises and choreography that focuses on physicality and musicality.  Tap is a fun and energetic way to build coordination and rhythm.

  • Everyone can groove in our Jazz-Pop classes! These classes feature many different styles of jazz dance, tracing back to its uniquely African American roots, alongside influences from musical theatre, ballet, Latin and Caribbean styles; and the emergence and evolution of hip-hop dance, music videos through the decades, social dance, and more. Students will work on techniques for rhythmic movements, fancy footwork, jumps, leaps, turns, arms styles, and learning choreography. Just as jazz and hip-hop are based in notions of community, dancers also learn to celebrate and challenge each other to build confidence and express themselves.

  • Find your inner dance artist in our Modern/Contemporary dance class, a space where technique meets artistic exploration. Drawing from a variety of modern dance techniques (think Graham, Cunningham, and Limón) and a range of contemporary approaches, this class invites dancers to explore various approaches to movement and creation. Through a mix of structured exercises and improvisational tasks, participants will build deeper knowledge of their bodies, coordination, and expression.

  • No partner required!

Step into the world of Ballroom and Latin dance with this social dancing class! Each 4-week session focuses on the basics and beyond of 4 ‘couples’ dances such as Waltz, Cha-Cha, Jive, Foxtrot, Salsa, and more. Whether you're preparing for a special event or vacation, or just want to try something new, Ballroom/Latin classes are a fun and social way to experience partner dancing.

  • This class is designed to help you feel confident and strong while dancing in high heels (but really, you can wear any type of shoes – or none at all! – to enjoy this class). Each week you’ll focus on building strength through sassy choreography and poses. If you want to boost your performance skills, or just your confidence, this class is all about owning your movement and having fun.

  • These 35-45 minute classes offer a combination of dance-based stretching, strengthening, and gentle exercises that enhance flexibility and tone muscles, and body awareness.

Great for anyone looking for a quick movement break!

Or, because these classes run at the same time as some children's classes, it's the perfect way to stay active and relieve stress, while your kiddo is dancing nearby.

  • This program is by application only and available to a limited number of students each year who are ready to commit to their own dance education and supporting younger students.

Build dance and leadership skills throughout the year by attending up to 5 classes, a weekly training session, and assisting with classes for younger participants.

  • This is an intermediate/advanced class for adult movers and dancers. Classes are drop-in and pay-what you-can. Training at the Hub is taught by rotating instructors, including guest instructors and dancers-in-residence at the Dance Hub. Anyone participating in these classes is invited to try their hand at leading their own sessions in this safe sharing environment.
